Hey Family,

So the MTC is turning out to be a routine now. I wake up before my alarm clock now....that's how bad it's getting. I was going to sing This is the Christ but the choir sang it on Tuesday!! So I am going to go to the music library and pick out new songs. Elder Nelson came and spoke to us on the Tuesday devotional and talked to us about exact obedience.....I think. There is a room next to us but in a different zone, they're all pretty cool guys. Elder Brandon and I wrestled, and I won! But my elbows are all torn up from this sandpaper of carpet. Elder Brandon and I are almost twins. He's 220 and my same height. He's a pretty funny guy. I'm sitting next to Elder Flint right now in the laundry room. He's a companion of the old ZL's. He's going next week to Vera Cruz Mexico. In my district, it's me and Robertson going to Riverside, and 4 Oaxaca Mexico, one Bolivia, one Merida Mexico, and one Puebla Mexico. I'm the worst at Spanish in my District. Dad, if you could find me a BOMB "I Know My Redeemer Lives" arrangement, that would be awesome! I'm starting to get more and more restless every day. I get giddy for Gym day every day. I have lifted once a day but the machines don't really cut it. I miss everyone! I want more pictures buy the way, so i can keep bragging about my family, siblings and cousins alike. Jimmer was in my temple session today getting his endowments to get married! It was way cool. Also, I fell asleep in the Celestial Room......my bad. I love you all and miss you all!

Hello Family,

So it turns out that I can email and receive in the MTC! So I'm supposed to be in the temple right now doing a session but I grabbed the wrong wallet …oops…so I used this time to do email. I’ve got a great companion, Elder Robertson, but I spend more time on exchanges with Elder Applegate. Elder Applegate is from Bountiful UT, and was very much like me before the mission........mischievous. We started classes on the FIRST DAY. It stinks being in the classroom for six hours a day just sitting down and listening, but I have to admit my Spanish has increased immensely. Elder Prince from Canada is the DL in our district. He’s the hottest in the office. Our teachers are Hermano Anderson and Hermana Hunt but she won’t be Hermana Hunt today, we haven’t actually seen or met her. She got married and has been on her honeymoon, so we don’t actually know her name. I love my district, they are all fairly cool guys.

The spirit is great here and I feel like I’m ready to go out already (if I was English). Mail is good. I need a hoodie and my raincoat please. Please. The cookies and banana bars are a hit. I miss my family. I miss Ryan’s house and movie night every Sunday. I miss family hour not family night, I miss our big TV. I miss having time to actually have use proper workout equipment. I want more pictures of my cousins and friends. I need a picture with all the buddies. Cecil Samuelsson gave the devotional talk on Sunday and it was boring, but Elder Hinckley came on Tuesday, and gave a great talk, I was very intrigued. I miss my family. The worst of the MTC is over, now I’m actually getting sleep at night. I know this email is all over the place but I’m just writing what’s in my head. I miss my family. i miss grandma’s house. my blood sugar is good. There have been a few outliers but on average they have been good. My testimony has grown and I’m enjoying it a ton. The food stinks and that’s all I have to say about that. I’m looking forward to turning the page on my flipchart as are all the guys on my floor. Thanks Mom so much for everything. I can’t find my patriarchal blessing if it’s at home please send it. Don’t throw out any clothes or watches. Well I’ve run out of time. Thanks for the mail and thanks for everything.

Love,

Elder matt whammy dial

Dear Family:
The first day wasn't bad. I'm alive and well. We got our fridge and it works. My companions name is Elder Robertson. He's a cool guy. He is from Washington State (I don't remember which city). We are with two other missionaries in our room. Both from the Motherland (Mexico). They all speak English though. This is the only mail I get to write outside of P-Day, so don't expect any emails till next week. I love and miss you all.
Matt
P.S. Brownies, Cookeis, Food of any kind is greatly appreciated.
