Transfer to a bike area/Moreno Valley

July 30, 2012
Hola mis carnalitos,

This week was super great; started off with P-Day. I had to pack and holy cow I threw away a TON of stuff. Even as missionaries it’s hard not to accumulate a ton. Oh well. A member who used to live in De anza came back and took me and Elder Santos to our new areas. He's super cool and I love him. I'll send pics next week cuz I forgot the cord. Elder Santos went to my first ward......the one I was in a year ago.....not cool.

I'm in Moreno Valley and on bike and it's great. My legs are always in pain, and I'm ALWAYS dripping with sweat. LITERALLY. It's not too bad while going to lessons but you know when you like play a full game of hardcore ball and you finish then sit down then a wall of sweat just hits you as you stop for a while. I get that about 8 times a day in lessons....and it doesn’t stop within the lesson because these people don't use fans AC or anything. It's just hot stagnant air in their apartment…literally drops of sweat off my chin for an hour. My legs are super sore because i haven’t' ridden a bike for a year or more and I love it. Our apartment sucks, but the work goes on.

Tues, we went to DDM and taught a couple lessons and picked up a new investigator named Mike. He's like 26 and pretty cool. I don't know how solid he is but he's on date for the 25th. We met a less-active family named la familia Nuñez. They're super tight. They got baptized like 4-5 years ago, moved and lost the church. Now they want to come back, Hermano wants the Melchizedek Priesthood to bless his month old baby, and they want to get sealed in the temple. I love them. We have an investigator named Claudia. She's like 18-19 and needs some help. She has desire to know but isn't really dispuesta )(ready) to work for it. She progresses, but very slowly. We then taught two investigadoras, named Araceli and Ari. Araceli is like 54 and Ari is 25. Not related. They need some help too. They like us to come over but they don't read. Probably a drop here soon,

Elder Rytting and Christensen have been teaching these people who don't progress, so we'll be moving a lot of teaching records to the FORMER section and be finding a lot more. That's basically what we did best all week. We got 194 OYM's (Open Your Mouths) and it's all thanks to bike. On bike you can talk to everyone and they can't run away from you. So we peddle on up and testify with the power of God. My opinion is it's WAY more effective than tracting. Tracting sucks big ol monkey toes. I hate it. But, street contacting is way better.

haha I love how I start out these emails day by day and then get distracted and just ramble. OH well. Read it. Love it. There's a guy right next to me and he's been kneeling down NEXT to his computer chair and talking to himself and surfin the web looking at inappropriate things. I think I'll share the Gospel with him because THAT'S WHAT I DO! All day, with authority given to me from a worthy priesthood holder. This work is the best. The gospel is pure and true. Life is good....if you make it that way. I really wish people would wake up and realize how sucky their life is when they don't go to church and partake of the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. The scriptures are the guide we have in this life and they were written for US! There are so many things that we look over and we don't even realize it in the scriptures. READ THEM!
 Love you bye,     -Elder Dial
